We Are Going to Need a Bigger Boat

Hello everyone,

I've been waiting weeks to share our exciting news, and finally got around to taking pictures of the boys today.

We are expecting baby number three, due at the beginning of December 2017. Currently, I am almost fifteen weeks, am feeling very well, and am not quite looking pregnant yet. With Benedict, I started showing around eighteen weeks so we will see when that happens with this little nugget.

We are going to need a bigger boat. New fishing buddy arriving December 2017.

Jerome has started praying for the new baby during his night prayers, and we try to talk about the new sibling as much as possible, but so far, the boys are happily unaware of the changes that are coming right around Christmas.

This will be my first baby that will be Montessori from birth, and I am excitedly (and nervously) making plans to create mobiles and seek out more Montessori friendly newborn materials. I would love to try cloth diapering from birth as well, a friend of mine does flat sheets and I think that would be so perfect for the newborn stage, but depending on where we are living at the time, I may have to put that wish on the back burner.

Lots and lots of changes coming up in the near future. Tharin's job ends in just two weeks, and our old house still has not sold, so we are quite literally waiting for a sign from God as to what He wants us to do next. If the house still has not sold, we will be letting the rent on this place go and moving back. Prayers for a graceful acceptance of God's will would be very much appreciated, as I was hoping to have baby number three near to our helpful parents.

Regardless, we are so excited to meet this new little person. Last night as I was falling asleep, I was missing when Benedict was a tiny, cozy baby, feeling grateful for how long we co-slept and nursed. It is crazy to think that, not so very long from now, there will be a new little baby to snuggle.

Thank you,
Olivia

  1. Fantastic blog! Do you have any tips and hints for aspiring writers? I’m planning to start my own website soon but I’m a little lost on everything. Would you propose starting with a free platform like WordPress or go for a paid option? There are so many options out there that I’m completely overwhelmed .. Any suggestions? Many thanks!

  2. I started with a free platform and decided that if my blog were ever making money or I wanted to take it bigger, I would go with a paid version later on down the road. I think it is pretty easy to transfer your blog to a different platform. Good luck! And thank you for reaching out!
